USF JUNIORS // LAKEVILLE, CT JULY 10-11LIME ROCK PARK
Competing at his home track for the first time in a USF Juniors car, Bex Cranston showed strong pace throughout the Lime Rock weekend, consistently running inside the top three during practice.
A red flag interrupted Cranston’s potential pole lap in qualifying, leaving him fifth on the grid.
In Race 1, Cranston charged from fifth to second, earning Hard Charger honors. He also recorded the fastest lap of the race and established a new USF Juniors race lap record at Lime Rock.
Starting Race 2 from the front row, Cranston took the lead around the outside of Turn 1 following an early restart. He led a race-high 20 laps before being passed with two laps remaining, ultimately securing his second runner-up finish of the weekend.
Back-to-back career-best finishes made for a memorable home event in front of family, friends, sponsors, and supporters.

USF JUNIORS // LAKEVILLE, CT LEXINGTON, OH JULY 2-5MID-OHIO SPORTS CAR COURSE
Round 4 at Mid-Ohio was a weekend of continued strong pace. Bex topped the opening practice session before a small mistake in qualifying left him sixth on the grid.
In Race 1, he charged from sixth to third in just three laps before receiving a drive-through penalty for contact. Even though Bex was sent to the back of the field, he fought his way forward and set the fastest lap of the race.
Starting Race 2 from eighth following a grid penalty, Bex dropped to 12th early before charging through the field to second. A small stack up on a late-restart cost him one position, but he still brought home a third-place finish.
The result marked his first official USF Juniors podium and provided strong momentum heading into his home race at Lime Rock Park.
RACE 2P3
USF JUNIORS // BOWMANVILLE, ONTARIO MAY 14-17Canadian Tire Motorsports Park
Round 3 brought Bex and the team to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the first time, with limited dry running before qualifying.
A few mistakes cost him a shot at pole, he qualified fifth just two-tenths off the fastest time.
After a difficult start dropped him from fifth to ninth in Race 1, Bex fought his way back through the field to finish seventh.
Starting fourth in Race 2, he gained a position on the opening lap and battled for a podium before ultimately finishing fifth, however, the car was one of the fastest on track.
In Race 3, Bex started fourth on used tires while the rest of the top seven were on new tires. He still fought for the podium and recorded the fastest lap of the race before narrowly missing out with a fourth-place finish.
The weekend marked a strong bounce back from CMP and demonstrated consistent front-running pace. The focus now shifts toward closing the gap in qualifying and converting that speed into podium results.
CaROLINA Motorsports Park
USF JUNIORS // KERSHAW, SC APRIL 16 -19Round 2 at Carolina Motorsports Park was a challenging weekend, with changing track conditions making it difficult to find the ideal setup throughout practice.
A tough qualifying session left Bex starting deep in the field, but he showed strong race pace and fought forward in each race.
He gained several positions in the race, however, several incidents and damage prevented him from securing the results his speed showed.
The weekend provided valuable lessons, particularly about the importance of qualifying at the front of such a competitive field. The focus now shifts toward bouncing back at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for Round 3 of the championship.
HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY
USF JUNIORS // HOMESTEAD, FL FEB 16-18The USF Juniors season opener at Homestead-Miami Speedway delivered strong pace but difficult results. All while battling severe food poisoning throughout the weekend, Bex qualified on the front row in second and consistently showed race-winning speed.
In Race 1, contact while fighting for the lead sent him to the back of the field. He responded with an impressive recovery drive from last to fifth while setting the fastest lap of the race.
A penalty in Race 3 further limited the number of championship points earned, leaving the final results unrepresentative of the pace shown throughout the event.
The car demonstrated winning potential all weekend which is really promising heading into the rest of the season.
USF JUNIORS // SEBRING FEB 4-5 & HOMESTEAD FEB 6-8YACADEMY WINTER SERIES
Dominant pace all weekend across the five race events and went purple in multiple practice sessions.
At Sebring, Bex went from 7th to 3rd, going purple in his first ever race in the USF car. In the rain! In the second Sebring race, Bex went from 9th to 2nd, taking the lead for a few laps before ultimately losing it with a few laps to go, settling for second.
In the second leg at Homestead, Bex charged from last to P5 in Race 1 after an out-lap mistake, setting the fastest lap along the way. He backed it up with a P2 in Race 2. In Race 3, contact dropped him to P15, but he fought his way back to finish P4.
The final race ended in contact while battling for the lead. Podium in every race completed. The speed was there for wins.
LUCAS OIL SCHOOL OF RACING
2025 SERIESBex’s debut season in the Lucas Oil Formula Car Series marked an impressive transition into car racing. Entering the opening round with only two previous days in the car, he quickly established himself as a championship contender.
Throughout the season, Bex earned four victories, 10 podium finishes, four pole positions, and seven fastest laps, demonstrating consistent front-running pace while continuing to develop his racecraft.
He entered the season finale 19 points behind the championship leader and immediately delivered under pressure. Bex qualified second before winning Race 1 by more than 22 seconds. The following day, he secured pole position by nearly seven-tenths of a second.
Contact outside of his control ended his championship challenge in the final two races, with the title ultimately decided in the closing race of the season. Although the final weekend result did not reflect the dominant pace shown throughout the year, Bex finished as vice champion and completed a highly successful first season in race cars.
